The "Mandrillus Project" is mainly funded by a grant from the DFG (German Research Foundation) obtained by Marie Charpentier and Peter Kappeler in 2011 (DFG, KA 1082-20-1). The DFG grant allowed to set-up of the long-term field site with all the costs involved.
The "Mandrillus Project" has obtained official Gabonese permits from the CENAREST institute (authorization number: AR0003/12/MENESRSIC/CENAREST/CG/CST/CSAR).
Thank you to ESAOTE who lended us a scanner during trappings.
The INEE-CNRS institute also supports the project with the labeling of the field-site as a "Station d'Etudes en Ecologie Globale" and by providing a PEPS grant obtained by Marie Charpentier in 2012.
SODEPAL (Lékédi Park) also supports our project by providing accomodations on site (and free car-rides!).
We should not forget Prof Didier Basset, our collaborator in parasitology, who provided a free microscope and free consummables. Thank you!
